Seven Day Greek Islands Yacht Tour

Yacht tour in the Saronic Islands โ€“ we present to your attention the program of our exciting cruise:

Day 1. City of Athens – Aegina island.

Athens is the heart of Greece and the cradle of Western civilization. It was here that Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle lived, where democracy was born. You will see the ancient Parthenon temple on the Acropolis, Agora, Syntagma Square, and other iconic places of the city.

Day. 2. Aegina Island – Poros Island.

According to legend, this is exactly the place where Zeus brought the nymph Aegina, and since then the island bears her name. It is covered with a pine forest, and on the east coast is the Temple of Afea (built in the 5th century BC). During the time of Ancient Greece, the island was a major trade center, and even its capital for some time. There are many archaeological sites of antiquity, many of which are in the Archaeological Museum.
In addition to the temple of Afea, the remains of the ancient temple of Apollo are also preserved here. Your acquaintance with the island begins with your arrival at the local port. You will immediately appreciate the local flavor and atmosphere – yachts and boats, old small churches, neat two-story houses and endless beaches. Aegina is a Mediterranean paradise. During the tour you can see all the main attractions of the island.

Day 3. Poros Island – Hydra Island.

Poros Island is located in the Saronic Gulf south of Aegina and is separated from the Peloponnese by a narrow strait. It belongs to the ancient region of Kalavria. If Apollo and Athena were more revered in Athens and Aegina, then Poros is the island of the god of the seas, Poseidon. Here you can still find the remains of the ancient temple of this deity. Also on the island there is a female Orthodox monastery and a unique lemon forest. During the day you will visit all the most interesting places on the island and get an unforgettable experience about this place.

Day 4. Hydra Island – Spetses Island.

Our yacht tour continues further south and the next destination is the island of Hydra. There are no antique temples of the ancient Greek gods, but you will find well-preserved Mediterranean architecture of the 18th-19th centuries, several Orthodox monasteries and charming views of the rocks and the sea. Hydra is notable for the fact that there are no cars, so you can enjoy walking around the island in peace and quiet.

Day 5. Spetses Island – Nafplio town.

Our next destination is Spetses, a rocky island covered with pine forests located at the entrance to the Gulf of Argolicos. It is considered to be the greenest among the Saronic Islands. Here you will also find interesting examples of architecture of the 18th-19th centuries, many picturesque beaches, and you can visit the museum of Babulina Laskarina, the heroine of the Greek revolution of 1821.

Day 6. Nafplio city – Aegina island.

According to legend, this ancient Greek city was founded by Poseidon’s son, Nauplius. In earlier times, it was even the capital of the Peloponnese. Among the attractions of Nafplion are the Palamidi fortress, the 15th century fort, the church of St. Nicholas, the church of St. George, the residence of Armansberg, etc. The city has excellent examples of medieval Mediterranean buildings. The narrow streets are literally steeped in history. You will not regret coming here!

Day 7. The island of Aegina – the city of Athens.

The seventh and final day is the road back to the city of Athens.
This 7-day yacht tour will give you a unique chance to visit several historic sites in Greece. You will see monuments of antiquity and the Middle Ages, visit local temples and museums, and you can also enjoy the incredible Mediterranean nature.
